27 th of November

A book (1951)
Nov.27 th
Feast of our Lady of the Miraculous Medal (1830)

Mary's Message
Our Blessed Mother said to Catherine:

,,My child, the good God wishes to charge you with a mission. The times are evil. The whole world will be afflicted with miseries of every kind. But come to the foot of this altar. Here graces will be bestowed on all who ask with confidence and fervor. They will be given to the great and to the lowly"

Mary withdrew as she had come. And the young peasant gorl followed the child, whom she took to be her Guardian Angel, upstairs again; and here he left among her sleeping companions, who were not to know until near the end of her life that she had seen and touched and spoken to the high Queen of Heaven.
From that July night Catherine pondered and prayed. What was her mission to be ? When would Mary tell her ? Her toughts were long, long thoughts.

In the early evening of the 27th of November, while deep in meditation in the chapel, ahe again detected the sound like the rustling of a silk gown. Glancing up, she saw Our Lady on the right - hand side of the sanctuary. And the novice thus describle what she beheld:
,,Mary wore a robe that was colore of the dawn. Her head was covered with a white veil that fell on each side of Her feet. Her feet rested upon a globe. Her hands were raised about as high as Her waist, and she held in a graceful attitude another globe, a figure of the universe"

The Medal of the Immaculate Conception, generally known as the Miraculous Medal, comes to us directly from the Mother of God.
This explain why it wins extraordinary blessings and favors for those who wear it and pray to Mary Immaculate.

Mother Mary

Mother Mary
Holy Mother Mary, who by virtue of your divine motherhood have become Mother of us all, I place the charge which God has given me under your loving protection. Be a protecting Mother to my children. Guard their bodies and keep them in health and strength. Guard their minds and keep their thoughts ever holy in the sight of their Creator and God. Guard their hearts and keep them pure and strong and happy in the love of God. Guard always their souls and ever preserve them in faith and in the glorious image of God they received in holy Baptism. Always, Mother, protect them and keep them under your motherly care. Supply in your all - wise motherhood for their poor human deficiencies and protect them from all evil.
Amen.
Queen of the most Holy Family, pray for us !

Love at home

Love at home

There is beauty all around

When there is love at home

There is joy in every sound

When there is love at home

Peace and plenty here abide

Smiling sweet on every side

Time doth softly, sweetly glide

When there is love at home

Daily Prayer

Daily prayer for the Holy Souls
Immortal God, Holy Lord, Father and Protector of all you have zreated, we raise our hearts to you today for those who have passed out of this mortal life.
In your loving mercy, Father of all, be pleased to receive them into your heavenly company, and forgive the failings and faults they may have done from human frailty.
Your only Son, Christ, our Savior, suffered so cruelly that He might deliver souls from the second death. By His merits may they share in the glory of His victory over sin and death. For all the faithful who have died we pray, but in particular for those dear to us, parents, relatives and friends. Nor do we forget all who did good to us while on earth, who helped us by their prayers, sacrifice and example. We pray also for any who may have done us harm, and stand in special need of your forgiveness. May the merits and prayers of our Virgin Mother, Mary and those of all Your Angels and Saints, speak for them and assist them now.
This we ask in Christ's name.
Amen.

The final inspection

The final inspection

The soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as brightly as his brass
> Step forward now, you soldier
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true ?<
The soldier squared his shoulders and said

... No Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint
I've had to work most Sundays
And at times my talk was tough
And sometimes I've been violent
Because the world is awfully rough
But I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear
And sometimes, God, forgive me
I've wept unmanly tears
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears
If you've a place for me here, Lord
It needn't be so grand
I never expected or had too much
But if you don't, I'll understand...

There was a silent all around the Throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the soldier waited quietly
For a judgment of his God.

>>>Step forward now, you soldier
You've borne your burdens well
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets
You've done your time in Hell<<<

Prayer:
Lord hold our troops in Your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen.

Five finger prayer

This is so neat.
This is beautiful - and it is surely worth making the 5 fingers a part of our lives.

1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved once..............is a sweet duty.

2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal, this includes teachers, doctors,........They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.

3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in bussiness and industry, and administrators. Those people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's guidance.

4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.

4. And lastly comes our little finger - the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says - The least shall be the greatest among you - Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and will be able to pray for youself more effectively.

For departed loved once

For departed loved once
O Almighty God, who by the love which you have for men, willed to take our humanity, to live a life of hard work, to suffer a most cruel passion, and finally to die on the cross, I beseech you by the infinite merits purchased for us with Your Precious Blood, to deliver the souls in Purgatory and grant them Eternal rest.
Accept, O merciful God, the prayers which I offer for them, and call them to the Glory of Heaven. I commend to you the souls of my relations, friends and benefactors, and all in need of my prayers.
Most Holy Virgin, Mother of Mercy, Comforter of the Afflicted, obtain for them everlasting peace.
Amen.

For all the faithful departed

For all the faithful departed
God, Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the souls of your servants and handmaids the forgiveness of all their sins. Through our devout prayers may they obtain the pardon which they have always desired. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord, hear our prayers; in your mercy, bring us to your place of peace and light the souls of your servants, whom you have summoned from this world. Call him/her to be numbered in the fellowship of your saints. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for poor souls

Prayer for poor souls
O most compassionete Jesus have mercy on the souls in Purgatory, for whose redemption You did take upon Yourself our nature and endure a bitter death. Mercifully hear their groanings; look with pity on them; and by the virtue of Your Passion release them from the pains due their sins. O most merciful Jesus, let Your precious Blood flow down into Purgatory, and refresh and revive the captive souls suffering there. Stretch out unto them Your strong right hand, and bring them forth into the place of refreshment, light and peace. Amen.

November 2

November 2
November 2 is the day on which special prayers are offered for the souls of the faithful which at death have not been cleansed from venial sins, or have not atoned for past transgressions, cannot attain the beatific vision. It is time to pray for their souls to assist the souls from Purgatory to Heaven.

For the deceased Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.
